About

As a single mother, I had two babies by the time I graduated from law school. I was not sure what God’s plan was for me.

To make matters more difficult, my father, my ROCK, and my babysitter while I attended class, died three weeks before I sat for the Texas State Bar Examination.  Growing up as a “Daddy’s Girl,” I was left to truly bond with my mother as woman, as a mother and as a best friend. My mother had been a working mother with five children; no one could have been a better mentor and example than my very own mother.

Over the past 20 years, I have strived to balance being a single mom while excelling in my career and accomplishing my dreams.  My hope is that each reader may take away something helpful from my experience that may enable women around the world to strike balance between being mothers and conquering dreams; living a joy-filled life while having the best of both worlds.
